  • Happy New Lens

I replaced my Panny 100-300 with an Oly 75-300, largely because of the size. A bit slower, but I'm counting on the E-M5's high ISO capability to compensate.

This wood pigeon was sitting in the sun so no aperture problems. They must be the easiest birds other than swans to photograph.

A nice sharp image with no obvious aberrations. How do you find the lens?

So far it fits the bill, seems nice and contrasty, but I've only had time for a few shots. Physically it's a compact package, zoom/focus rings are nice and smooth and the build quality seems good. There's virtually no movement on the barrel when it's zoomed out.
