. . . looking at the spots (color & pattern) visible on the tail of the beast, that's a Brown Trout (Salmo trutta), and a good one too. Nice pics!

You've done extremely well to get these. 20/20 reactions required I think!
        Thanks

          Re: Gone Fishing

John, Thank You for the accurate id

Davids Thanks I have to practice, for Red Kites tomorrow (up at 5am)

I have to say it looks so much better on screen in the full orf . Quite a few years ago I captured a much better shot ... and I want to improve on that one.

If this one (2nd) fish had just had its head above the water and mouth open taking the bait ... whhh ! now that would be perfect

These fish are REALLY hungry just now, and a nice loaf of Brown bread goes down very well and its cheap for a model or more

Just to add these are the two I captured about 10 years ago ... and I want to IMPROVE on

            and this one

"Could do better" is a given here now its down to time and sitting quietly after throwing in the food and hoping that they take the bait in the right bit of water and lighting

Lyn and Mark Thank You maybe if I get the SAME Trout as in 2 with its head out the water, I can 'shop the two bits to make the PERFECT gone fishing shot

Next time we have the SUN out and Blue skies I shall be there ... with camera and Hovis brown loaf ready
