Another fine view of a very tempting peak.

I have felt the exhilaration of standing on top of Tasmania (the highest I've ever been on the ground, John!)

Atop Mt Ossa,1998 with Sandra, highest Tasmanian peak,
1,617 metres (5,305 ft) adjacent to Cradle Mountain).

A year earlier we had climbed snow covered Cradle Mtn, 1,545 metres (5,069 ft)
the last 200 metres was extremely challenging and dangerous,
Sandy waited while I did it alone.

Cradle Mountain and Barn Bluff from the south west, showing their proximity.
In days bygone we climbed them both, the views are unbelievable.

I bet, like me, that you look back and think " I am so glad I did that !"

The forest in the second shot looks extremely wild.
The picture tells the story, great when you have a bad memory.DW.

You're right img1. Sandra and I cherish the memories we share of our bush walking years in Tasmania that began in 1993. We carried 20kg packs on our backs and many of our treks were over several days. We were disgustingly fit!

Nice pics Mark, love the recession of the hills in the first one.
                        Regards Paul.

Paul - I must admit that I was a little chuffed with that particular aspect of Cradle Mtn in #1. The passing clouds highlighted the recession of the hills, as you so deftly put it.

Stop putting such lovely shots up please.
We won't have to go there in November if this continues.
