Last weekend we went to Falmouth to visit daughter and meet her new boyfriend. He's studying Press and Editorial Photography and mostly uses Nikon, particularly a D700 and D7000, but I'll try not to hold that against him.
He also uses film cameras a great deal - in fact, he prefers film to digital. Interestingly, for the first term of his course the students all had to work exclusively in film. He's also a collector and has about 30 or so (mostly film) cameras. So a very interesting guy to talk to photographically.
We went for a meal in a Thai restaurant and, of course, I took my camera and took loads of photos. They said they didn't have many photos of them together because he's usually the one taking the photos. Well, they do now!
Here's a few:

Considering these were taken in a dimly lit restaurant and are out of camera jpegs with no processing whatsoever (apart from resizing) I was quite pleased with them. Nikon guy was impressed with them too - 'Nice clean tones' was his verdict. Perhaps I'll convert him to Oly yet! They do make a great couple, though, don't they?
This is my daughter in contemplative mode at The Tate, St Ives, again out of camera jpeg:

An Artist contemplating art (she's a Fine Art student)
And finally my wife in typical mode, with cup to lip. She is a tea addict, although in this case she was actually drinking hot chocolate. This one was processed in Topaz which I'm just trying out.
