Kingfisher... she's getting a little closer!

Well, the Kingfisher seems to be getting a little more used to the hide now, and sometimes dares to venture a little closer than she used to. I appreciate that this is still nowhere near a great Kingfisher shot, but I am hoping in time that I can get her perched on the branch I have placed in the water close to the hide so I can use the might of the Bigma to get in real close.

She was on the other side of the river when I spotted her on a supersonic 'flypast'! Managed to engage, lock on, and fire off a few... Here's the better of the bunch... I'm getting there slowly.

Thats a great shot. I have tried to catch one at a local stream. Seen it 4 times in as many months but it was gone before I could lift the camera.

Kingfishers usually alert you that they're coming by making a short high-pitched call.
