  • A couple from today's walk

Actually the first one is from the drive up Glen Cannich, this is Loch Carrie with cloud shrouded Affric Munros in the distance:

This is a waterfall on the Allt Mullardoch

A nice warm day but very boggy underfoot the poor dog was covered in mud.

Lovely shots Iain, you don't seem to struggle to find good photo locations

The water in the wee waterfall is so clear, I would have expected some peaty colours in there.

Greg, how very observant of you ! Yes I too would expect some peaty coloured water ...

Iain fab images from what must have been a great walk ...

I have to admit to keping my dog out of the rivers and springs yesterday and sticking to roadways through small villages - to keep us both out of the mud. Everywhere about Hampshire is just a mud bog just now ... it is so slippy last week he slid over himself on a slight incline and he was brown all over ... until home and showered when we renamed him fluffy !

Beatiful shots, brilliantly executed; what a great nation we live in.
Maybe we could start a resource of locations on this site and share each others local knowledge.

Good Idea Brian, I reckon us Scot based lads could fill a volume or two!

What a cracking idea, maybe a new section in the forum for locations?

Well, I thought we already are doing this I know I have written down many of your own locations and those of Wanderer and Jon and before my Highland tour I would be planning and asking all of you of placs "not too miss"

                Thank you Greg.
The water was very clear as you can see from the image below taken from a higher angle. It could be down to the fact that we haven't had any rain for a couple of weeks and most of the water is coming from snow melt on higher ground which is more gradual but I could be wrong?

Lovely to have mountains at hand, and to be able to enjoy them down here too.
The picture tells the story, great when you have a bad memory.DW.
