  • Common Sandpiper at the Bryn

    Morning all

Was out again at the crack of dawn today, what a cracking day it is weather wise eh! Managed to set the hide up again, and this Common Sandpiper whittled its way towards me. Fired off a few shots, this one was the better of the bunch. E-3, Sigma 50-500mm.

    And the now infamous 'Hide'...

    Another cracking shot, John.

I notice that the Bigma renders out of focus highlights almost like the "doughnuts" you get with a mirror lens. Terrific sharpness on the bird.

The hide looks really interesting - roughly how much does it weigh and how small does it pack?

    Thanks,
    John

      John,

I agree with John too. Lovely shot. The oof highlights creating bright circles is what I get on very bright days. On more normal days I do not see this effect. Maybe a polarising filter would help? I shall do some research and come back on that unless of course you already have the answer.

Is there room in the hide for my dog? Is it hot on days like today?
