  • Big Animals ; Bigger Place

Some more from my recent Kenya safari.

Two versions of the same image which I shot trying to show how big the Masai Mara is. In fact many of the pictures I captured ended up with this theme so you will no doubt see more over time.

    And the mono version

    cheers

I've worked hard to be this grumpy. It hasn't been easy at times but it's worth it.

Fantastic shot there, Hec. I love the uncluttered simplicity and the feeling of vastness this picture expresses.

Wowza Hec... that mono version has to be one of the best shots I've seen in some time. It is simply superb.

Kudos to you, sir - that's awesome.

Both versions work for me, love the way the mono conversion brings out the clouds.
It's the image that's important, not the tools used to make it.

Both have commendations, the colour for its flora detail and the monochrome gives a feeling of endlessness.
The picture tells the story, great when you have a bad memory.DW.

Many, many thanks for the reception given to these images. It seems that I have managed that rare achievement in my photography of actually coming close to what I was aiming for.

                        thanks again

Was going to post earlier, but the Cheetah shots took my attention, but i'm back to say.... wow....the B&W shot would be framed in my front room for all to admire...but the colour version is just as classic..you must be chuffed to bits.
