Re: Under my cloak.
Brilliant photos, excellent lighting Andy, you can't beat manual focus old school in this digital age, but it works and works well.
Thanks for sharing.
All the best.

Re: Under my cloak.
Super detailed shots. Owing to the total absence of super-telephoto m4/3 primes the delights of MF with the E-M5 are becoming familiar with several owners. The EVF/LV magnification and the Keyline filter are making accurate MF almost an everyday occurrence.

This through the viewfinder but using manual focus assist which magnifies the viewfinder when you turn the focus ring.Coupled with IS on which stabilizes the image in the viewfinder it works a treat.

Re: Under my cloak.
Fantastic shots Andy. You've certainly cracked manual focus.
Interesting that the latest automated "bells and whistles" camera also provides a means of enhancing (IMHO) what was becoming the lost art of manual focus.
Thanks for sharing the pics and the technique.Peter

Re: Under my cloak.
I love the shots Andy, great technique. Makes me think my selling of the 50-200 may have been a bit hastyJohn

I think it would work even better with the SWD version of this lens as it has a mechanical coupled focus ring. The ring on the Mk1 is a little light and easy to move.No funds to change though.
Also getting great results using the 12-60,just feels so good with the tighter focus ring(almost sounds rude).
