I am quite surprised by the massive number of Ducks and Geese about
it may have something to do with "getting into birds in 2011" 
But they are of quite amazing plumage - kots of colours and patterns emerge. Thanks for the id - if this was a "blog" I would sign up for the Bird id

I like ducks. I really do. Tey are amazing creatures and well worth studying, even just for the amusement factor. Pity that the females are so drab but when you look closer the feather detail and tones are magnificent. I certainly think you've done this lady proud.
