  • Spring has sprung!

Was out with Toby our dog in the garden last night and heard a noise at the garden pond went to have a look and was surprised to find we had three visitors.
As can be seen two were huddled together to keep warm! Thats what I told Toby anyway.
Taken in about two foot of water using torch and flash. Quality not brilliant but for this area it is very early for them to arrive.

We had a lot of frogspawn last year these may be early returners.

    Huddle /cuddling for heat

Poor weather at present but could not locate them this morning we also have snowdrops well up in the garden.

    Comments welcome

Not sure the snowdrops are normally later, we are close to the mountains and the sea. We only had snow high on the mountains but 20 miles up the road they had about eight inches. We must be in a little hot pocket. Will watch the frogs with interest.

They look up to no good to me!

I've tried telling Mrs Zuiko that cuddling up together is the best way to stay warm, but she prefers a hot water bottle!
