  • Last of the snow for now

Looks like we'll be getting a big thaw and seeing a lot of water in the river soon, so here's a couple of the last of this batch of snow which I took on a trudge around some nearby farmland.

The dots on the field in the BG are crows and sheep, it's tough to survive in those conditions.

You certainly have a good covering, a little more than us I think.
The picture tells the story, great when you have a bad memory.DW.

Lovely images John, I particularly like the second.
It's still hanging about then John, when did you take these?
Trudge is certainly the word in this stuff

        Thanks Huw .

These were taken yesterday, and another 4 or 5 inches fell on top of it last night. In the hills which drain into the Wansbeck, which runs through Morpeth, there's a lot more snow. If we get a rainy fast thaw things could get very dodgy in the town.

I love that track with the hedge one side and a fence the other.

I love them both but no 2 just has the edge, for me.

Stunning pictures John. The first shot is quite surreal giving me a sense of being there..
