  • Oh what a dull day!

Fantastic snowfall overnight with all the trees and bushes laden with white stuff - but no decent light to photograph anything! Must get out and have a go though:

I thought the last one needed a bit more work, so here is an alternative treatment:

I'll erase the wires if you think the image is worth the effort.

    E-M5 plus Leica 14-150mm

    Thanks

No 2 is a beautiful interpretation of the intricate pattern formed by snow on branches. For the last one I prefer the original with the beautiful blue tones, in fact it's a cracker and yes - well worth cloning the wires!

I agree with John, the last one is particularly nice, and though I prefer the b/w, think it is definitely worth cloning out the lines.

Nice images with the only weak one IMHO being no 3.
Otherwise excellent. I especially like the mono version of the last one.

What a wonderful, difficult Jigsaw No1 would make

Great set ! However, I have scrolled up and down and up again and down again and NO WIRES ... Nick says I need to take these "bionic eyes" back they failed

I like the mono but with that beautiful blueish sky

David you did very well - I was too miffed by lack of light too

Thanks Chevvy, the blueish sky in #4 was a product of the graduated filter facility in LR4, otherwise it would have been dull grey!

I'd definitely take those eyes back!

What do you mean by, "no decent light" I would gladly swap places with you right now, and I daresay with such marvellous snow scenes like these, so would Lyn and Ross.

What a lovely set David, I like all of them but particularly find 1 and 2 rather beautiful.
Thanks very much for sharing these

Take a look at our temps for the week ahead,
and this is cool to what it was last week.
Also note the time (AM) and signal strength

Not a good pic, I know. Used XZ-1 Scn mode Doc setting
