A bit late with my collection, but please indulge my memories of last year. I was involved with London 2012 and these are my pics (mainly point and shoot I'm afraid, so not too technically challenging).
It stated with the dress rehersal of the awesome opening ceremony - so we got to see everything (besides the funny bits and the cauldron lighting).
I was working at the wonderfully contrasting venue of modern beach volleyball @ historic Horse Guards Parade ..... it still amazes me that they built a 15k seat stadium in just over a month after the queen had finished her birthday bash .................. and the Army were very different to G4S
!!
And the atmosphere in the venue was amazing
The Marathon also went past my 'office', led by the photogrphers
But not everyone can be the winner
We even had some celebs performing (Bananarama for those of you who weren't 1980's party boys and girls). The brilliant memory about this image is that Keren and Sara got their assistants to take the same pic with their personal cameras, as they wanted their picture with Games Makers

Then I was lucky to get tickets in the ballot for the equally awesome (English definition, not American btw) opening of the Paralympics
And off to Brands Hatch for more work/ action
(I tried panning the hand cyclists but they went just fast for me!)
