A bit late to the party, sorry. Thanks for the suggestion Chevvy, I've been enjoying everybody else's 2012 so here is mine. I had to cheat a bit in order to do it by month, Feb was not very productive so it's a non-Oly shot, I hope you don't mind.
January - I was doing a photography course at the local college and we had a play at studio portraiture. This was my most successful attempt:

February - a bunch of us went to Mallorca for a cultural weekend (yeast is a culture, isn't it?). While we were there it snowed quite heavily, apparently for the first time in about 50 years. We Brits are known for being obsessed with the weather but we had nothing on the natives, the local press went bananas over it. This is the small mountain town of Soller:

March - I had the good fortune to shoot a couple of big (by local standards) gigs for the local rag. This one is from the Hamsters on their farewell tour, they played their last gig on 31st March after 25 years pretty much continuously on the road. Guitarist Snail's Pace Slim:

April - at Easter the "lost village" of Imber on Salisbury Plain was opened to the public. Here is the church looking peaceful and pastoral:

May - and the cricket season is in full swing. It looks sunny but was freezing!

June - a trip to stay with friends in Spain. This is Extremadura, an area in the south-west that is little known outside Spain (or even outside Extremadura). It is a huge wine producing area, these vineyards belong to Payva who produce some very nice wines and they go on for ever:

July - more flannelled fools:

August - some more crunchy guitar rock for the bank holiday. This is Jon Amor, a very fine performer and all-round good egg:

September - the last cricket match of the season, some discreet celebrations after the opposition skipper was bowled for a golden duck:

October - our mini-rugby festival. I love the expression on our player's face as he realises he is in for a score:

November - proper rugby weather. It was a foul day, so dark by half-time that I had to crank the ISO all the way up and couldn't see what was going on. I was wet, cold and miserable - and we won so goodness knows how the visiting supporters felt!

December - the story of the season is the rain. We've not had it as bad here as further west, we have a large area of open meadows near the city centre which can hold a lot of water (although some clowns want to build a new supoerstore on it). This is in a public gardens near the centre, the lad obviously felt the need for a rest:

All the best for 2013 ... John
