  • On a cold and frosty morning

Visited my Mum yesterday and on the journey from Dunmow to Tiptree I was treated to probably the best hoar-frost I've ever seen. However, with few suitable places to stop and not wanting to be late, from a photographic point of view it was a wasted opportunity. I did manage to pull over once, for a few minutes:-

Oh, how I wished I had a tripod with me, to use a smaller aperture for more DOF with the tele-zoom. As it was, I focused on the tree and let the foreground blur.

I also snapped this. Won't win an award for either of these but at least I got something from the journey.

These really made me feel cool John - as we have just had two days of 38 degrees.
They are both lovely, but No1 especially so.

Thanks Lyn, it seems we could do with a little more heat and you could do with a little less. Mind you, I would miss the frosty mornings.

Yes that frost is pretty spectacular John. Makes me feel cold just looking at the images. It's all gone here now - just wet and miserable with Christmas shopping to do for non camera enthusiasts and no ideas.

                  John,

You like me would have loved to hav had time to play

                  Love the first one
