  • As time goes by

I always enjoy seeing other members' Children and Grandchildren on this forum and, although I don't do portraiture myself and only have snapshots of my lot, I thought it was about time to join in.

Isn't it interesting how babies often look like startled Rabbits when faced with a camera!

That's the first two of my tribe, two more to come.

Nice photos of the grandchildren and they did a good job of posing for the camera.

Great shots. As I have said many many times before these will become ,in time, the most important, rewarding and treasured images you will ever take.
I have been fortunate and/or lucky enough to have had many images published over the years. Have done well in photo competitions had solicited invitations to display my work at exhibitions and I have had a book published by invitation from a publisher.
But my most treasured and most important images are those of my father and relatives
long since passed away. If god forbid the house caught fire and I had to make a choice between saving either my family/personal 'snaps' or my 'posh' work the latter would burn in the flames.
Keep on taking these sort of pictures. If not for you then most certainly for your descendants.

Nice pics and ones that will be treasured for a long time especially if printed.

I fully agree with Seonnaidh about which I would save.

These type of pics tend to fall of the board without much comment which I think is a shame.

But while that perfect Heron shot or umpteenth sunset shot generates more remarks and has it's short time in the daylight they are quickly forgotten by everyone but the author while these images will give pleasure and endure for decades long after you have gone.
        Regards Paul.
One day I hope to be the person my dogs think I am.
