  • Under the Golden Gate Bridge

These are all with the E-1 and 9-18mm, blacked and whited in Lightroom.
The rain turned into fog just as I arrived. And I learned something new down here: The support struts used to be steel channels tied together with riveted straps. They're being beefed up to protect against earthquakes, replaced with box beams that have perforations to resemble the old straps.

Looking up from Fort Point. One used to be able to stand directly below, but 9/11 changed all that. If there's one thing I wish I could share but can't, it's the sound of the fog horns, especially the one on this tower. Sort of parts your hair when it goes off.

The Fort Point cannons used to pop out here, though never in battle. Now they point at the parking lot.

Here's the bridge from just inside the bay, with the fog lifted a bit. Fort Point is down there at the left.

First two are very atmospheric. B&W was the right choice for these

I also like the atmosphere created in the first two shots and also this is enhanced by the B&W. Is this the same side as Sausalito?

        Hi Amanda,
I was shooting from the San Francisco side, which would be south and left when looking out the Golden Gate. Sausalito is on the north side, a mile or so inland along the bay front.
