  • Autumn colour in the garden

Just saw this bit of sunlight illuminated colour. Needs a better subject really but I just liked the way the colours & shadows mixed.

Well spotted, Phi, and great idea about offsetting the colours with the shadows. However, to my eye it looks a little cluttered and needs simplifying. In particular, the concrete fence post is a major distraction. I've done a crop to exclude this and the green bramble leaves, allowing the eye to concentrate purely on those rich autumn colours and the shadows.

I was going to suggest that but John got there before me. Love the contrast of the colours and the shadow.

That's great guys I thought it was too cluttered too I did crop it a bit but just couldn't work out how best to simplify it. I think your crop definitely worked John thanks.
