Had a few hours out with my E30 yesterday and found myself in the Peak District.
I took these using my tripod and a NG filter. I don't often attempt landscapes so all feedback is very welcome.
Patchwork, I too have not attempted Landscapes - but yours look like very fine examples ! In each you have foreground, middle and sky/distance interest. I like the first best

For someone who doesn't often do landscapes you've made a darn good job of these. Shame you haven't posted them a bit bigger though, so we can really appreciate them.

Thank you Chevvy. I've been guilty of going out with the intention of capturing landscape images and then chasing round trying to find the 'perfect' scene. On Saturday I spent time in the same location and gave myself time to assess the possibilities and I'm much happier with the results. The first shot is of my friend flying his kite - to which he attaches his camera producing some very interesting aerial shots.
Thanks for the positive feedback John. Sorry if they were a little small but I'm sure I read somewhere on the forum that images were limited to no more than 600 px on their longest side - or am I imagining it?

I think you will find it is 800px.
As to the images they are very good considering you do not do landscapes.
That autumn light is loverly and really makes the difference and light is what landscapes are about, in the wrong light they are just record shots.
No 2 is my favourite and I'm sure that scene was in pride and predudice with Kiera Knightly standing on that ledge.
Regards Paul.
One day I hope to be the person my dogs think I am.
They're nice shots taken in lovely light. Where were all the climbers though
IIRC the gallery will accept at least 1000*800, but in addition to being a little small your images have some heavy JPEG artefacts, particularly noticeable on the thing in the sky in the 1st shot (helicopter?) A bit over compressed, I think, or the forum software has had messed with them.
I was expecting to find some climbers as well - plenty of people walking on the edge but nobody on the rocks. I see the artefacts you mention - they don't appear on the copy of the image on my computer so I can only presume that this has happened when I uploaded them or it maybe due to the size issue. It's not a helicopter btw but my mate's kite, with his camera attached for aerial shots. Thanks for your comments.
