That's a beaut! I'm sure someone's messed with the laws of physics somewhere - gravity or the like

Well captured shot from not the easiest position. The best locations for shots at the top of the mountain are now only open to those with a media pass.

though if you stand in the mountain top grandstand in the right place you can get some good shots but bsb weekend is impossible to move. we just have to get the best pictures that the location will allow us

Yes you can get some good shots from the grandstand, but you used to be able to stand on the infield to get a shot with the bike jumping towards you.
In tend to go on practice/qualifying days so I can move around to different locations. Get frustrated on race days stuck in one place.

Cracking shot, one of those that you get or you don't spilt second judgement of when to press the shutter.
                Maybe a little more DoF

im now about to get ready and have a day there today, shouldn't be too busy with any luck and should be some good action. i never get to see the racing as im too busy clicking away, another day of playing with settings trying to get the picture quality i'm after

These days you're kept so far from the action I wouldn't go to a race meet without a media pass. 30 years ago there wasn't the restrictions there are now.
It's the image that's important, not the tools used to make it.
