  • Cologne Cathedral 2x3 stitch

This is two rows of three images stitched in Photoshop CS6. The perspective was badly out so I used DxO ViewPoint to normalise it.

A skillfully rendered image of Gothic architecture. The scaffolding adds interest.

I think I have an old B&W of this taken from a B-24 waist gun during WW2.

I was very pleased with the way PS CS6 stitched this as I know PS is not regarded as the best solution for stitching. It's also the first two-tier (two rows of three images) stitch I have tried for a while.

Cologne Cathedral is massive - look at the people at the base of the picture Our local cathedral is St.Albans Abbey and that seems like a village chapel in comparison!

I was about 30-40 yards in front of the main door and used 12mm focal length using the 12-50 standard zoom on my OM-D E-M5. The exposure was just 1/10th sec and hand held, so full marks for the IS system.

I also used the new DxO ViewPoint tool for dealing with perspective distortion.
