And he (or she)'s left a footprint behind for photographers to take advantage of.

There a quite a lot of fossilised dinosaur footprints on the rocks at the Bendricks, Barry. You can see that this one had three toes.

    Hi Roger,

Great spot! The clouds and that sky look great, but the reflection is a good as the footprint has an interesting shape.

Jurrasic Park! Excellent piece of photography, the contrasty light only gives it more atmosphere

Yes, it is, honest, not pulling your leg.

Aw, I wish I'd known that when we went to Little Haven. We stopped off at Southerndown and we went to Marloes Bay, but I didn't know about those.

Re: Watch out there's a dinosaur about

There are certainly a load of dinosaur prints down here. But not always easy to find. This one shows up beautifully in this photo. We have a load of them in the National Museum of Wales - rescued before they eroded too much, but there are always new layers being exposed luckily.

Many are actually not dinosaurs strictly, but belonged to various other large reptiles. They are all 200 million years old and it is a very important late Triassic dinosaur footprint site.

If anyone would like to know more, then just let me know as we take trips down here every so often.

Yep, Barry is where it's at as far as dinosaurs are concerned.

I should point out, by the way, that this actual footprint isn't very big, maybe 4 or 5 inches across. The size has been exaggerated by the 9mm.

Now I'm disappointed I thought it was a half a metre or so long!
