Been taking lots of shots lately so here are a few of mixed subjects

1. Powfoot as the sun was getting low.


2. Mika, one of our cats.


3. A fly getting the shallow dof treatment.


4. Knapweed flower getting the same. Is this too much?


5. One of my favourites. The Bog Hover Fly.


6. Emily Elephant. She always makes me smile

Sorry, I don't know where to begin with that third, fourth and fifth run of shot's, so consider this as a WOW.

The last one is easier to put into word's........... "just too cute and a priceless capture" and I bet you have to sing the song everytime too?

They are all great in different ways Greg, you certainly nail those hover flies, Mika and Emily touch the heart strings, but that Knapweed flower - I have to have a go at doing that DOF, that is WOW Plus!

Just to echo what everyone else has said Greg.
In particular, your bog fly is just excellent - razor sharp, and the detail is incredible, as is the other fly pic. The picture of your little elephant is absolutely wonderful -I wish I could get my family photos to look as special as yours do.



Looks like there's a lot of fresh water in the Solway. Not too good for bass fishing.

I am really enjoying snapping just now I think the 50mm has really helped and the sigma 10-20 is seldom out of the bag these days

David you could watch the River Annan's course at Powfoot, this evening, even at high tide.

Greg, that opening landscape is simply magnificent, beautifully delicate nuances of colour and tone.
#5 is also a stunner but of best all, Emily Elephant takes the cake!
