Not posted anything in a while, so here are a couple from the weekend.
The Water of Leith was pretty swollen on Saturday. By Sunday it had dropped by a couple of feet, but was still quite high and fast flowing. There was a dipper sitting around for ages on the bottom step. He seemed unperturbed by all but the sight of my camera - at which he promptly scarpered...
This fella was sitting around looking pretty dead for a couple of days, but seemed to perk up after the rain and moved up the wall a bit. A drop of maple syrup seemed to be just what was required - he (she?) sucked it up enthusiastically.
