Devil Kid by name, devil kid by nature! Stroppy little mare.

Freya went to the Suffolk Show today with her friend and her parents, as they had a spare ticket. I've just spent the last hour or so helping her edit her pictures but she couldn't be persuaded to write very much about her day out and was reluctant to post any of the pics because she doesn't think they are very good.

I beg to differ. I know I am naturally biased as a proud father but I think she did rather well for a thirteen year old, especially as I wasn't there to coach her - apart from help with the pp these are all her own work. It wasn't the kindest of weather, either - she arrived home soaking wet!

All pictures were taken with her E-500 and 14-45mm lens.

I didn't think Freya's original thread title, "The Suffolk Show" was very inspiring or eye catching so I've abused my powers by changing it.

It seems that when you are thirteen it's not cool to be too enthusiastic about anything.

Personally John I think you are a cruel and unnatural father, Freya would be quite in her rights to report you. The Victorians merely made kids sweep chimneys, pick pockets or bankrupt banks (according to Mary Poppins).

You expose your daughter to the comments of those who still use the word 'kids', and are, worst of all your friends.

Nice series of shots though, the water bottles are a clever image.

I think she did very well, but why is she pictured holding a C***n camera????

Someone will be on the naughty step after this and given a good spanking....!

The shot of the water bottles shows that she may well have the beginnings of a good enough grasp of perspective and photography to rival our Snaarman! If she shot this without prompting from her dad then I'll be well impressed!

I also thought the shot of the strawberries was excellent...if she's done these on her own, then she certainly shows some promise.

Way to go girl! Let's see some more....!

Ha ha, don't worry Janet, the young lady featured in three of the shots (and holding a Canon in one of them) is Freya's friend Katie. They were all taken by Freya on her E-500, which used to be mine. She's getting impatient for me to buy a new camera in the hope that she may get my E-3, but I'm afraid it might be some time before that happens!

All the shots were entirely Freya's idea; Katie's parents aren't photographers themselves and I wasn't there!

Come to think of it, Nick, how much can kids earn sweeping chimneys these days?

Freya, I'm glad your dad "forced" you to post these they're excellent,

I think you have a natural talent, I would have been really chuffed to take any of these. The strawberry shot is stunning.

Please post more of your shots in the future.

                Regards.
                Peter

she looked at me and said "It's official. I hate your camera. It's just so amazing and perfect I want one!"

Well done Freya. The water bottle picture shows imagination, I think.

But the Devil appears to Witches at Sabbat in the form of a goat (or so folklore would tell us).

The chosen name of Freya is Devil Kid, and it's said that it is 'a wise child who knows their own father'.

Personally I dont believe a word of it, however devilishy clever this photography is.

Well, she has got cloven hooves instead of feet......anyway, Freya chose the username "Devil Kid" when she joined the forum aged just 9!
