  • Dublin walk

Last week I went to Dublin and after I finished my business started walking around the city. Seven hours later I had quite a few images, very tired feet, and an appetite for beer!

Here's a selection of some of the colour 4x3 urban shots. I also did B&W and square format, but I'll leave those off.

    Blood Stoney

    New York

    terraced houses, Ringsend

    flour mill

    mixed modes

These were taken with a PEN E-PL2 with PEN-F 40mm or Panasonic 14mm lenses. That's my walk-around kit and it serves me well.

Great set, Robin, you've obviously got an eye for urban landscapes.

Wow, thanks for the nice comments.

I have lived in Limerick for ten years, but don't actually get to Dublin very much. But I love exploring urban landscapes as much as I love the greener places. Here are a couple B&W frames.

The New York image stands out for me and I also like the terraced row with varied and understated colours.
            Interesting set Robin.

              Re: Dublin walk

Most of you will realise the enormous economic downturn that has hit Ireland harder than most countries. It is difficult to avoid reflecting these in my photos, and certainly my B&W shots address this new landscape.
