  • A bit wonky in the woods

A bit of an experiment from last year. Some vertical panning. This one was one of the less blurred from a particular set shot in a local woods. I confess I rather like this technique and I'm going to experiment further.

    cheers

I've worked hard to be this grumpy. It hasn't been easy at times but it's worth it.

I like it Hec, I think it's definitely worth more experimentation... I wonder if getting more of the floor might be better?

Nice trees, Hec! I love this type of image, so much variation is possible!

Hec, this reminds me of the rain forests and in particular, the "millionaires salad trees" I like the efffect !

I feel it may work even better in mono or sepia!

          Thanks for the comments.

Interesting comments about mono or sepia Chevvy. I'm always worried I go too much for mono and kept this one in colour

A fun way to make interesting images. However I do need to experiment more as getting more ground in as suggested is a bit hit and miss at the moment whilst I try to get the correct panning speed v shutter speed relationship worked out.

          cheers folks

Hec, Yes, I was surprised to see so much colour

What about noting this shot for Autumn with the carpet of leaves on the ground and some 3pm low sunlight creeping in through the trees and canopy ? ... I have shot I note in my Yahoo calendar for other seasons/weather ... I recall someone putting in some images like this for their/her LRPS ?
