The sun came out this morning, shining on these Tulips which were starting to wake up and open QUICK I grabbed a camera and the macro lens and here is the result ! I was quite pleased

Nice little group of three Chevvy. We've got some of those stripy ones too but the rain has battered them a bit now and I didn't get round to shooting them when they looked nice.

I have to admit, I took a sheet of black vinyl (backdrop) out and lay it over the fence and daggy plants behind the Tulips, to provide a one colour nice background and I was quite pleased this was the second of two shots I took, experimenting with settings

Paul, Thanks for stopping by - I have purple and yellow Tulips that have been out for two weeks so I am very surprised you have none out yet - has it been colder up your way ? ... or perhaps I did not plant mine very deep

Edit: imho, the combination of these three singers is unsurpassed. I much prefer their recordings to those of Sutherland and Pavarotti. I also like lighter music, Aznavour, Mouskouri, German and Irish Folk especially.

I like the way the tulips stand out. There are quite a few out here too.
Confession, I've always enjoyed ironing! Does that make me odd? I hate cleaning the bathroom though!

Amanda, I don't really HATE ironing, once I get started I love the satisfaction of all those nice clean smelling of fresh air (dried outdoors) clothes hanging up or in their respective piles - then I fell real happy ... most of my family and friends do not iron AT ALL I could not go out the door in crumbled no ironed smelling clothes !

My tulips are sitting in the fridge enjoying their enforced winter!
Something you Poms don't have to worry about - far too hot here to leave them in the ground, so we give them a nice sleep in the fridge until planting time.

Lyn, when I get nice flowers, I put them in our fridge to stop them blooming in the week and keep them for my time at the weekend with camera
