    Out for my lunchtime wander. See how the world has changed in a week. The evenings are light now that we have left stupid stupid GMT behind (why do we punish ourselves like this every Winter...?)

    And look: Sunshine. Birds singing. Blossom backlit against a wall in shadow*.



    Now that's a test for me E-PL3, in CW metering, the blossom is blown white and the wall is dark grey. I switch to spot meter mode, not a feature I use much, then dial in +1EV compensation otherwise the blossom is too dark.

    Lovely: Nice black wall. Nice crisp blossom.
