  • Tasmania's Longest River

In a tranquil mood the South Esk River near Longford glides silently by beneath the willows.

It was a perfect spot to break out the thermos and such as I had for lunch. It had been a long hot drive from Hobart.

Devonport, to where I was heading to catch the ferry back to the mainland next day, was well over an hour away. I was in no particular hurry.

Again, these were all shot with the PEN E-PL3 + m43 14-42mm kit.

    Beautiful Mark

I'll just add a general sorry for the lack of posting recently, I've started a new job and it's fair to say that free time has been very scarce

Three good ones, Mark, but No 2 is outstanding.

Thank you, John - all shot within yards of each other.
#1 and #3, upstream / downstream views, and #2 from under a bridge.

Three lovely images, Mark - it makes sitting here on yet another dreary day of drizzle (I wouldn't mind if we had torrential rain as this part of the UK has the lowest water stock since 1976 and we haven't yet reached Spring) almost bearable, as pix like these really lift the spirit!

Lovely tranquil shots, perks up the day when you are stuck in a grotty office in grey Croydon.

Thanks Annie, and I know just what you mean about the weather ... when it's hot it's too hot, when it's cold it's too cold, and when it's just right we are stuck in a grotty office like Dan says!

The office can't be all that bad if you can browse and post on the forum, Dan! Just think of all our cancer causing UV that you miss out on!
