  • Baby face...

    Hiya

I was recently asked to take some photo's of my nephew for his passport photo, he was enjoying 'posing' so ended up with around 300 shots from 1hr with him!
Thought I'd share a few of my favourites, any advice would be much appreciated, I took along a light coloured sheet for the background, and was shooting using my E-510, 14-54 and FL-50, quite a bit of natural light coming in as well. The speed he moves at and expressions were hard to catch at times, but thoroughly enjoyed it.

    Thanks
    Susan

      Hi Susan,
In Aus we are not allowed to photoshop any photos for passports. Something to do with the fact that when they check the passports by the machines, they can be refused. Don't know if this applies in the UK or not. We did ours recently and they were very fussy.

        Hi

thanks for your replies. Number 4 was one of the ones that were submitted for his passport, it had a white background rather than the blue one. We checked the notes and for children under 1 they even said their eyes could be closed! crazy! With children under 5 they don't need to have a neutral look on their face either, or be looking directly at the camera, so long as they're facing forward.

          Hi Susan

These are beautiful natural shots. Sometimes very difficult to achieve with a lively youngster. Skin tones and colour is very good. focus is good and not harsh.
          Well done
          Best Regards
