We drove into a car park and heard a beautiful birdsong ... tracked it to this darling little bird on a village hall roof ... 50-200 @ 200 ; 1/2000 sec; f4 and late afternoon sunlight a bit of a lucky shot !

    A lucky shot...no such thing.
Spotting the subject and nabbing it is an art.
    Love him.

Keith, Thank You for stopping by ! I LURVE your logic
Some say "we make our own luck ... by being out there and sitting and listening and watching and waiting" can't argue against that !

Yep Chevvy, I agree with all that, you were out there and observant enough to track the little fellow down.
Love the colours in this one. Would have loved to have heard that song.

Keith - It worked an absolute treat!
Thank you so much - it is a beautiful song and I have bookmarked the website which is also fabulous, and I will get a lot of enjoyment and use out of it.
It may be interesting to see what the birds in my garden make of some of the songs LOL.

Lovely image of a beautiful bird that graces our tree tops every summer with a delightful song from 4.00am and then on and off until 11.00 pm.
              NICE!

Watch out Lyn...the bird song police will be after you
Over here we watch some popular nature progs...Spring Watch and Autumn Watch on the B.B.C. in which a couple of the presenters used bird song and imitating it to entice the different species out into the open and encouraged us all to do the same.
WELL guess who tried it and said so on a blog and was threatened with all sorts for disturbing the wildlife.
                Can't win.

Well spotted and patience rewarded, Chevvy.

Never heard a song thrush's song and unfortunately I don't have Flash Player with which to hear it at Keith's link.
