  • I dunno, Bert..

"Ooo. I dunno Bert: Which one do you prefer?"

Look, I'm an old man. I shouldn't be expected to put up with this.

What makes this even more bizarre is:

They were all facing an ice skating rink.
They all have "Winchester Cathedral" written on them.

Some sort of souvenir? They don't look anything like the Cathedral IMHO

Now I had this theory: The Sunday after Christmas is often referred to as Low Sunday. I wondered if the Cathedral was trying to lift the attendances:

"This week: Communion on Ice, from the Alternative Service Book."

I thought Winchester Cathedral was where old disk drives went for a service?

Heh, Heh! Yes, I remember them, the disks were about 12 inches diameter and only held about 32 or 64 Mb each and yet all our Company's programs and data was held on them.

Well titled, Pete. You put a picture to one of my old favourite songs.
Now I have a better idea as to what the song was about.

I will never understand you Poms - but like the colours in the photo.

Perhaps Winchester Cathedral has become a stakeholder in a new government initiative to supply affordable social housing!
