  • Skomer Island Seascape...

Here's one of the few seascapes I took today on Skomer, the weather was really beautiful and the sun shone all day. Absolutely loved it there, and must go again soon.

Hi John - this isn't the critique forum I know, but two things strike me (besides the very lovely place you obvioulsy found) - the sky and sea blue looks odd; cyan-ish. The horizon also seems slightly out.

    What do you think?

I wonder if the colour shift may have something to do with colour space settings (showing Adobe RGB space in a browser for which sRGB is better)?

Hi Ian - yes, I agree with that. I think I know what I did - I wanted to up the Blue in Lightroom, and I think I hit the Cyan instead! d'oh!

Will correct later, thanks for pointing out - and excellently spotted Ian, you have a great eye.

The blue looks slightly un-British, more like the Mediterranean, but the composition is spot on. It's a lovely picture

That'd be the polarising filter executing its magic there Ellie...
