  • Lechlade - maybe not as boring

A return stroll, with better afternoon light.

    e-PL1 11-22

    e-PL1 14-54

Somehow a church seems to have sneaked into both of them.

    Comments appreciated

'hmm - ducks, water, swans, church, autumn, single exposure, nice big sky, is there anything not to like?

Apparently a lot, but I do wonder what?

Maybe I'll stick to the inside of churches

Nick very nice both shots ! Does Lechlade still have masses of Antiques/Old Stuff ? stalls ? I have not been there for 28 years ! but it is looking so appealing a visit may be forthcoming ..

after posting my reply I just had to google Lechlade.....oh to visit there but it is a fair bit from London and it looks like a car is required. So beautiful but so car away!! You Brits are in the "Garden of Eden"!!

Quite agree, and thanks for pushing this back up to visibility.

The second has a nice english autumn sensibility, various shades and colours plus a spire to give it focus.

My preferred shot is the first, perhaps because it looks hdr but isn't, nor has it been excessively manipulated (beyond a little push to the foreground shadows). But I'm lost in complete self admiration of the overall shape (sorry).

We've certainly worked our landscape to give it a certain look, but alas Lechlade was on the branch line to Fairford, so it's public bus, walk or boat if you haven't got access to a car. Sorry Bill.

Not sure about stalls, there are certainly antique shops, but if you visit again I'd be interested in seeing your pictures
