  • From the beauty one day to the beast on another

Well, the joys of Naturewatch must have been taken to heart by all the wildlife in this area, as within two days I've had the chance to photograph the wonderful Southern Hawker close to, and then the chance to photograph on of the UK's largest spiders, Tegenaria gigantea, of all places of course . . . in the bath! From the sublime to the . . .
For some reason, my lad who found it, didn't seem to happy to handle it!! But as spiders are good for old houses as long as its not in my backyard, it was safely given new sanctuary in ourbackyard!

    Regards
    Chris

BTW - as I never have a bath or wash I claim no responsibility for the dusty bath. And no I don't have dandruff but I have been doing some DIY in the bathroom!! Damn these Oly semi pro cameras and lens, why can't they shake all the dust away?

    I can hear it's footsteps

Great shot Chris I have repatriated a few of these recently - when their legs touch the sides of a pint glass they are big Fast too when you knock them off the ceiling

Nice! The shadow of the flash sort of looks like a web!
