    Here is my offering:
From the gairden, Catriona, organic and they taste as good as they look.

And at this time of year there are other gifts on the way.

White Melrose a heritage Scots variety. A cooker until the new year when it turns into an eater. Oooh, Apple Crumble

And no sneaking into the gairden to snaffle them.
    Duncan

    Lots of toys.

They deserve a prize in any show!

And apple crumble, oh yes please - with custard, of course!

WOW! Those tatties look a lot like what we call "Pink Eyes", a gourmet variety, seasonal and expensive!

Well, I'd say that it's Potato Salad with Apple Pie and Ice Cream for dessert there, Duncan ! (at least that avoids the dreaded haggis!)

            Re: A plate o' tatties

And we had some more home grown tatties with a pork chop (bought) yesterday and a very fine apple crumble to follow.

My sister is a friend of Alan Romans who is THE tattie man in Scotland. What he doen't know isn't worth growing or eating.

Interesting fact; 2 summers ago was the worst season for blight, in the part of the world, since the Irish Potato Famine.
