  • Dragonflys

Thursley Nature Reserve, Nr. Guildford, Surrey UK very early last Sunday morning - well night really as I should have been in bed, still

The Female (yellow) kept dipping her tail in the water, laying her eggs !

But it was so worth the effort ! Even saw a Hobby !

Here one below is "hanging on" for dear life!

and this shot, I could not believe I captured, him flying straight at me !

Wrong lens on really, 50-200 BUT 150 MACRO was in my bag on the boardwalk and I felt if I went to get it, they would all fly away

Great morning out ... they have 26 of the 42 breeds of Dragons there

You did well to capture it with the 50-200, Chevvy - not an easy lens to use for close ups of flighty critters!

Mark your so right ! the 50-200 performs at 50 as the 70-300 does at 250 ! not good ! But a capture is one point off perfect

Excellent collection! I am so envious, made 3 specific dragon/damsel/fly expeditions this year and not captured a single one.
