  • Getting ahead of myself

Just to prove I didn't spend all day yesterday blowing hot air on another forum, here's a couple of posters I designed for my exhibition next year. I know it's still six months away but there's a surprising amount of planning and preparation. I certainly don't want the date to creep up on me and find it's too late to effectively publicize it, I'd rather be well prepared.

This one will measure 20x8 inches and is designed to fit the dedicated spaces either side of the gallery entrance. All I need to do now is get a couple printed to the correct size and have them laminated for protection against the weather

This one is standard A4 and will be used for publicity inside the gallery, displayed in the window and circulated locally (and anywhere else I can think of).

Several weeks ago I had a supply of business cards printed, mainly for handing out (hopefully) to interested potential customers at the craft shows.

My next task is to clear some space on top of a wardrobe to store approximately 40 prints, many of them 16x12 in 20x16 frames. After getting half a dozen done I'm surprised how much room they take up, there's only so many I can hang on the walls of our little house! Oh but wait, the quality from 4/3 won't be good enough at 16x12 so I'd better print smaller - that'll save some space!

Wow you have been busy John, they look great, really eye catching

I'm sure 16x12 will be fine John, as long as take ten paces back you shouldn't be able to see it's by a 4/3rds camera

I'll tell people they cannot come into the room and have to view from the doorway!

It should be a fantastic exhibition, John and I hope it will be a huge financial success.

The cost of mounting a show like that can be very expensive as I've no doubt you are only too acutely aware!

They look really good John looks like it will be a fantastic exhibition. It must be quite exciting and probably a bit stressful to put this together to show off work you have obviously taken a lot of time and care over. I hope it's as successful as it deserves to be and you make a healthy profit.

One thing - how come you have a proper domain name for your website, but a btinternet email address? Speaking as a techie, it jumped out at me straight away
