My mother always told me that if cows lay down it is going to rain. It certainly did! One cow wasn't sure though.

I remember her ...she always was an outsider
I think I remember a T.V. prog where they studied a herd and there was a hierarchy and pecking order which meant they all had to do as they were told and only stand in certain places...and I thought they just strolled about eating or sitting down chewing.
I don't think the old wives tale is reliable but the weather forecasts are certainly based on it.
Nice shot by the way...a good rural scene.....I wish there was a really dark sky to set off the lush fields.

Sorry Cathrine it was Scottish, don't know if any significance can be attached to that? Scottish cows more intuitive or more lazy?
