  • English Springer Spaniel - Gundog

I met "Freddy" of Woodhaydown Gun Dogs, on Sunday - I am in LURVE
I would dearly love to have bought him home - but he is the Stud dog and very valuable ! Maybe I can get a puppy ... but I was not going to have another dog (I get too upset when they get ill and pass on

I observed "Freddy" working and was in total awe of his abilities and training level - h e is indeed a very special dog ! not least he curled up on my lap

Its a great shame his Mistress is standing behind him (the blue trousers) but thats photography and animals ! I may mask Freddy out and lose his Mistresses legs !

ENJOY ! I did and still am

          Great pics Chevvy

Also love the ones from Catherine and Shaw.

Springer Spaniel's are so full of life and joy and don't they show it.

I get to met a lot of Springer's on my daily walk round the valley with my two dogs and everyone I've met have always been friendly and happy.
          Regards Paul.
One day I hope to be the person my dogs think I am.

Re: English Springer Spaniel - Gundog

Freddy looks very nice, Chevvy, you should get a puppy, although a springer of good working stock needs a lot of excercise and gundog work.

Just to prove that my show champion is also capable of retrieving and hard work, I'll re-post this

              Paul Thanks
Cathrine I love yours - ours Mr Simpson (Eng. Springer) and Mr Senna (Black GS D) both "retrieve" we hide things in the house and they "seek" and in the fields, one of us runs ahead and hides something, and one of the boys is let off to "seek" and "retrieve" ! Dogs are so intelligent and they "bring it back" every time !

Stewart love your Welsh too !

Haha. Charlie and Riley are up to something. They just look innocent.

Mr. Simpson looks very cute, but then - he's a springer so he can't help it.
