... butterflies, promise!

Anyway, not only had to contend with stormy downpours today but a blustery wind as well - in between there were some brief sunny intervals but many would be captures looked more like trapeze artists practising for tonight's performance in the Big Top! We did find a relatively sheltered pathway and here are the results -

1. Marbled white -




2. Common blue -



3. In the spring (well early summer, then) a young ringlet's fancy lightly turns to thoughts of love - two ringlets -



All taken once again with the E-30, 50mm lens.

Now that's what I call fantastic close ups.
What a brilliant Marbled White...I have not seen one yet....if I do I know full well it will not land for more than a couple of seconds.
Could the b/g's need a bit of NR ?

There are literally 100's of Ringlets in "my" field but I will have to study them a bit more to see what they are up to ...lol
