Great shots and to make it even more worthwhile can some of these be made larger on the page?
It's good to see that the Vulcan is based in the near north and let's hope that the funding keeps it flying throughout the year.
I've been looking at some of the tracking of this flight to the Isle of Man over on FighterControl - you might need to log in but take a look at the last page of http://www.fightercontrol.co.uk/foru...8893&start=460 for an animation of its track back to base.

I think she takes off again on sunday

I was going to wait till she returned to get some pics off her landing with the shoot out but sadly I could not

They were collecting to get money to help keep her in the air

I always think it's a plane with a particularly menacing look and a bulk which makes slightly surprising that it manages to get airborne. It's certainly a classic aircraft and a favourute of mine. Great sequence of shots.

A superb series, I particularly like the shot where the aircraft has just parted company with the runway (number 4).

A beautiful aircraft. I remember once when I was in the RAF I was working on the airfield at Mona on Anglesey (relief landing ground for RAF Valley) and I heard a deep rumble. I looked up and there was a Vulcan flying right over me at no more than 100 feet. That was in the early eighties just before the RAF decommissioned them. An incredible sight and noise.

A very iconic aircraft - and was last used in earnest during the Falklands conflict.

I saw three arrive from I think Singapore in Canberra for a RAAF airshow in the 1970s. They were very VERY noisy and the smell of keorsene still assaults my nostrils.

But what an air display - brilliant.
