    Found a couple of Males doing the rounds in the wind last week.

    E500,E510 now dead,E520 (now retired),E600 and Grip,14-42,14-45,2x40-150,Sigmas 105 and 135-400 Now Dead..ex 25. Manfrotto 190. Plus lots of OM stuff.

      Keith stunning shot ! with the light glow around the white edge of wings AWESOME ! thanks for sharing ! I have YET to capture a good shot of one of these Butterflys BUT I shall sit back and enjoy yours !

            Thanks everyone...the colour and clean b/g are the redeeming features on this.
            As I remember I managed to get the aperture to F8 but needed a bit more to get a better dof.But it was the wind that blured the wing edges and as it was full sun all he wanted to do was fly with brief stops for re-fuelling.

            Best time is early and late for butterflies BUT not with wings open as then always rest with them closed.
