  • Street ? or Portrait ?

These three were standing outside of the "Kowloon Trading Co. of China, Fish Market in Victoria, city of Mahe. I think the young girl int he centre had been observing me trying to take photos, but being defeated by Peeps walking into frame for either side ! I think, in dire frustration I stamped my foot, a time or two ! and ... she was laughing at me !

She had such a beautiful smile ! I had to capture it ! and she willingly obliged! To me its a smile of great happiness - even though she is "standing with the shopping" ... between mother on phone to dad to come and get us, and bored sis (at having to spend time helping with the shopping!) 2 & 3 are crops of 1. and I am not sure that 3. present her face, better than 2 (full length composition with shopping bags at feet)

I like the uncropped version best, it shows the setting and the way the three subjects are connected (waiting together) but at the same time disconnected (all preoccupied in differnt ways). Indeed, this emphasises the connection between the youngest and you, the photographer. It's a brilliant shot, the only thing I would change is to crop or clone out the padlock on the extreme left, it does draw the viewer's eye.
