  • Mustang Rock Pipet and Cormorant

Three from the last couple of days when the wind dropped and we had a bit of brightness.

Not a great lover of American cars, but I've always had a soft spot for these, possibly because of "Bullitt" and Steve McQueen.
This example was in fantastic condition, could just have come out of a showroom.

A Cormorant drying in the sun.

    Rock Pipet (I think)

    Regards

Great car - and shot of it.I was wondering if if morphed into a Ford Capri at one time ?

Good prehistoric Cormorant and nice detail in the Pipipit.

      Almost certain it's a meadow Pipit...sharp bill and L O N G hind claw.

Three nice shots. The Cormorant is very good, you've captured the feather markings very well on what usually looks like just a plain black bird.
Another vote for Meadow Pipit. The Rock Pipit has dark legs.

        Thanks for sharing.

Re: Mustang Rock Pipet and Cormorant

          Hi Guys,

Thanks for the correction Keith / Peter re Meadow Pipit having Dark legs, I'll try and remember that.

I'm not a great lover of cormorants, but it was an opportunity to good to miss.

I have driven Mustangs in the 70's in my past life in the motor trade, gret in a straight line not so good on corners, to say the least!
The original shot had wind surfers in the background and a lampost sticking through the roof, there was no way to get a better shot because of the parked cars, thank goodness for Photoshop.

          Regards
