I was at a climbing club meet at the weekend in the Bowderstone Hut, next to the Bowderstone in Borrowdale. There was a bit of a free-for all for the cam with the 7-14 mounted, so none of these were taken by me! It gives an idea of life in a salubrious climbing hut.
Entertaining the troops, none of whom are interested.

Well climbers do seem a lot cleaner, tidier and more studious than cavers

Having seen the glint her eye after throwing his car keys into the pile the only thing to do next was put on some wine goggles .... just in case the beer goggles slipped
And we have even had 25 sit down for Christmas dinner.
A bit tight but a few beers, whiskies, wines, etc. soon makes it comfortable.
This must be a Scottish thing. I tagged along to an SMC meet in Langdale and the meet organiser supplied a 3 course meal with wine. Some of 'em even dressed for dinner I wore the old denins & tattered fleece .
And we have even had 25 sit down for Christmas dinner.
A bit tight but a few beers, whiskies, wines, etc. soon makes it comfortable.
This hut sounds like the ideal venue for an E-System User Group meet!
