  • 300mm crossbill

    Took these this pictures morning, pretty unusual garden visitor. I took this breaking all the (my) rules efl 600mm hand held. I was suprised to see the crossbills first in a pine as you'd expect , then low down in an ash sapling. Quite a long way away so glad I got any photographic confirmation...

      Excellent shots, a female I believe. Was this with the 70-300mm? The out of focus tree trunk is distracting and could cropped out without disturbing the balance. I am rather envious of such an exotic bird in your garden!

        Thanks, re-cropped the 1st one..lokks better with out the tree trunk doh!
