  • Caught out!

This one caught me out, I was not expecting the sudden appearance of this Bottle-nosed Dolphin beside the boat, so I had no time to set up for an action shot. Highlights blown and I was not able to tone down any more in pp without it looking too artificial. Any suggestions on improvement? Clew Bay, Co. Mayo.

    Thanks

    Re: Caught out!

A fortunate capture, all I think you can do is to crop out the blown bits, it also makes a better composition I think as it makes the Dolphin more prominent, hope you don't mind me posting my edit.

      Re: Caught out!

Thanks Paul, your edit does look more balanced. The reason for not cropping more initially was to try and show the wake as the dolphin rose out of the water but I see now it actually doesn't really add much to the image.
